Judge William Orrick will go down in history as the accomplice of the abortion black market. His Federal order attempting to block the release of videos “in the form of harassment, intimidation, violence, invasion of privacy, and injury to reputation,” will not make him look good. There don’t seem to be many arguments about defamation or falsehood, or whether the organization deserves the credibility the judge is defending. This order will not stop the anti-abortion movement, but only make the judge out to be an accessory in the aftermath of the coming tsunami.
Americans seem more concerned with flags and lions than with millions of abortions or the 3,000 people who die each year at the hands of people who crossed the border illegally. Now, people are getting angry about the mix-matched priorities. And it all seems to indicate that the public only complains about what the TV tells the public to complain about, and not a moment before the TV tells the public to complain.
The delay that public outcry has before the TV decides to make something into an issue makes it difficult to believe the public outcry is genuine. But the bigger problem with sympathy for Cecil the Lion goes back to Nazi Germany.
Psychopaths, sociopaths, and anti-socials have no problem killing or lying to another human being. Often, this is not from lack of conscience, but that they convince themselves that they are compassionate people by having sympathy for children and animals. One of Hitler’s first laws was the humane treatment of lobsters being cooked in restaurants: they must be boiled. Any other way of killing a lobster was just too cruel for the Nazis.
Despite abortion, the continued allowance of racist secret societies like the KKK, and illegal immigrant crime, America will be seen by the psychopaths as a good and compassionate country because it knows how evil Christian pizza shop owners are, instructs DHS to be ware of people who don’t like abortion, and especially because we all care so much about Cecil the Lion. Is that right? No, it’s the profile of psychopathic killers. Fortunately, the judge’s order won’t reach as far as the TV.
