Of course online shopping trumped brick and mortar establishments. Last year, the media flooded the public with images of Black Friday mob violence in the marketplace. Barnes & Noble is no exception to the fallout. In nation-wide bookstores, it may be last man standing. Borders is gone. Walden is gone. Barnes & Noble is losing. Most of this is due to the Internet. And, Barnes & Noble will likely survive only if they get on board with the Internet and ebooks. This creates an interesting conflict among media companies. While Big Media wants to control the Internet, Big Media will only survive the more free the Internet is.

Times are definitely changing.

Just how we saw grandstanding over the Paris attacks, the Colorado shooter also proved everyone’s point. The gun advocates advocate more guns. The anti-gun advocates advocate fewer guns. The abortion issue is no exception, except that most of the Pro-Life movement will shake their heads, smack their faces and say, “Murder doesn’t right murder… not helping.”  · · · →

The guy who leaked the info about the paedophile congressman, about a decade ago, finally opined. He regretted it for two reasons. First, it embarrassed his friend whom he didn’t talk to for a decade, until they finally reconciled, which we all should be glad for. Second, it resulted in shutting down the House page program, which had been around over two hundred years.

Through the American wars, including the Civil War, the Great War, and World War II, the page program survived. But it couldn’t survive America’s judgmental Christians. There is too much gossip in America and not enough healthy communication.

The older generation should have listened to the first complaints from those kids. And, the culture should not be so unforgiving that 1. leaders were afraid to act and, then, 2. they over-reacted when they were finally forced to. Zack, the tip-off, wished even the Congressman well and apologized to the victim for releasing the story that everyone involved wanted kept secret.  · · · →

History of Charlemagne repeats. The first “Holy Emperor of Rome” was crowned by Pope Leo III on Christmas day, 800AD, while praying at St. Peter’s tomb. Then the pope fell prostrate before him. At least, that’s what the new emperor said. The pope claimed that Charlemagne fell prostrate before him! A huge dispute broke out and, in the end, the “compromise” was that Charlemagne was now the new and first-ever emperor of the “Holy Roman Empire” while the pope could now decide who that emperor would be. Wasn’t that convenient!

So, the GOP can’t find a suitable speaker, suddenly the failed VP nominee saves the day and, now, we’re talking about making a speaker’s control of the House more permanent. Isn’t that convenient!

And, the GOP Establishment had a hard time with the media Establishment. Now, the GOP will come to save the day, rescuing the party from the evils of the media, managing all future RNC debates!  · · · →

With Iowa 28-20, the rise of Carson over Trump is of epic proportion. The rise of Ryan is historic repetition. He’s hired an advisor to former Speakers as his top staff. Biden, to whom he arguably threw the 2012 VP debate, praises him, as does the opposition Senate Minority leader. Never trust a man welcomed by his political enemies—he’s probably their friend.

Russia’s navy is very interested in the ocean’s Internet lines. The Internet may not only need protection from corporate entertainment, the driveby media, and SCOTUS, but also the Rusky sailors. Unless the Russians have decided to “protect” the Internet in the Atlantic and join Ted’s “cruise”. Senator Cruz seems to be the only one protecting the Internet in Congress.

Maybe the Russians are just sailing past US Internet cables like the US is sailing past China’s brand new, freshly poured military islands. Maybe Russia is trying to bully the US, despite the manly, masculine, hunting, bear-riding President Obama who makes Putin look like a woose.  · · · →
